Denver is a gateway to unlimited mountain adventures including one of my all-time favorites! Undeniably, Saphire Point is a fan favorite for intimate elopements, but did you know it also makes the perfect spot for an engagement session?
I mean look at this view!
Not only do you get the most breathtaking mountain backdrop, but you also get stellar woodsy backdrops. Safe to say, this gem is worth it. Not to mention, the drive is only an hour and a half from Denver. So, it is easy to make a day trip out of it. You can also spend some time in Breckenridge if you’d like!
As I mentioned, Saphire Point is a sought-after elopement destination, so permits can be tough to come by in the summer months. However, if you go in the winter, there is a ton of availability… Perfect for an adventure engagement session! It will be cold in the winter, but that is part of the fun, right?!
Meet the Couple: Claire and Elliot
Every year, Claire and Elliot visit Breckenridge for their yearly ski trip. Because the town holds a high significance, they realllyyyyy wanted to have their engagement pics taken. Isn’t that a great idea? I love that they choose to have photos taken in an area that is special to them even if it isn’t where they ended up getting married.
We connected, and I helped them pick Saphire Point because the views are spectacular.
It did not disappoint!
Claire and Elliot were such troopers on this cold January morning. We met at a local coffee shop, and then they braved the 6° crisp morning air to get some of the dreamiest photos.
When the session was ending, the sun poked through the clouds and created an incredible lighting situation. Check it out below, and if you want to plan a session, let’s chat!
